Razor Studios is a game and web development group lead by Daniel Evans and Russell Peterson, a pair of young professionals from Wales and England respectively. We've been developing innovative tech demos and solutions since mid 2006 using a variety of technologies, tools and programming languages.
We like to stick to what we know, but at the same time we recognise that we have to adapt to the current trends. This means that for the game development side of things we have adopted two solutions. For production games and simulations, we have licensed the GIANTS engine; a proven and scalable engine from a rock solid Swiss company. Meanwhile, we're also developing our own in-house game engine, called CeLLSpace, or "CeLL" for short. CeLL uses Ogre3D's powerful 3d render engine and Nvidia's PhysX for hardware accelerated physics interaction. We're also open to experimenting with other technologies such as Microsoft's cross-platform XNA engine, and keep ourselves familiar and up-to-date with all the leading game engines and APIs.
For web technologies, we have strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and web standards, as well as popular server side technologies including PHP, ASP and Asp.net. We're also familiar with both MySql and MSSQL databases, both Windows and Linux hosting platforms, as well as a strong knowledge of scalable cloud based hosting including network load balancing and database replication.
We've got more ideas than time, so with the little time we have we need to use streamlined development techniques and ensure that we are always up to date with the current technologies available to us. We also aim to make our code base as clean, open and reusable as possible, to aid future development.
